Explaining the unexplainable…

There are some things, I have discovered, that just cannot be explained. Here’s one - HD television. Doesn’t look any different to me! My husband raves about the clarity and quality of the picture. He even flicked back and forth to show me just how clear it really is! No matter how much excitement he shows, and believe me, he is REALLY excited, I just can’t see it!

Here’s another unexplainable. Our shutters supplier have increased their prices by 15%. This is because the shutters are imported from China and the state of the dollar against the pound has forced their hand. But here’s the unexplainable bit - when the dollar was riding high against the pound, surely prices should have been reduced? I guess the same can be applied to the utility companies and the oil companies - no one is going to pass on a discount unless they really have to are they?

Needless to say, from December 1st 2008 we have to pass this price increase on to our customers and understandably, this will make shutters unreachable for some.

I’ve gone off track a bit, my main unexplainable is the fact that we get so many leads in Winchester! Actually of all my unexplainables this one is probably the easiest to explain! Our website has been optimised by the talented team at Vizzit Media www.vizzit.co.uk and they just happen to have found the exact search terms that the lovely people of Winchester use when searching for shutter companies! I have a feeling that there are not many shutter companies in Winchester which helps!

I’d like to add though, that we are equally happy to fit shutters for people in Christchurch, the New Forest, Bournemouth, Ringwood - in fact, anywhere in Dorset and Hampshire! We will do our best to work with your budget; sometimes our Craftwood product is a good choice and more affordable than Basswood. Our advice is completely free and we employ technical experts rather than salespeople.
